The Idaho Library Association is seeking an individual interested in serving on the ILA Board as the Legislative Committee Co-Chair. This position is one of the most important for ILA. In conjunction with John Watts, our lobbyist, our Legislative Co-Chairs have helped shape Idaho policy on library board elections, internet access and filtering in public libraries, bonding percentage caps, and state library appropriations, as well as worked with the First Lady on the Read to Me program.

 This position begins October 2011 and continues until October of 2013. The new co-chair will be working with Becca Stroebel, one of our current co-chairs, who already has a year of experience under her belt. Our next Legislative Co-Chair will need to be based in or near the Boise area due to frequent visits to the capitol.
