Editor’s Message Fellow Idaho librarians: I’m very enthusiastic about the new format of the journal, and am excited to be a part of it. The Idaho LIbrarian will contain features that are familiar to regular readers of the print version, and it will incorporate new elements, as well. All aspects of the journal are intended to reflect that it belongs to the members of the Idaho Library Association. A new feature, “On My Mind” , is designed to function as an interactive opinion forum. You are encouraged to send in opinions in support of, or in opposition to, a particular item within the issue, and/or to any other matter relevant to the publication or the profession. Those received within a two-week period following the issue's "publication" will become a permanent part of that issue. Those received later than that will be included in the following issue. The publication of this first electronic issue of the Idaho Librarian has been achieved with the support of the entire ILA Executive Board—past and present—and the help of several individuals. They include Dan Lester, ILA Webmaster; Sue Carter, Systems Technician at ISU Library, and html guru; Ron Force, ILA past president, and salvager of all files associated with the print version of the Idaho Librarian. This is your publication—let us hear from you! Sandra Shropshire
