III. Resource Sharing and Multi-Type Library Cooperation
Using the Standards for Idaho Public Library Services 1991 model, this section continues the emphasis on self-evaluation rather than statistical comparisons between libraries. The format is similar with the three check-off boxes to aid libraries in the self evaluation process: NOT YET BEGUN, WORKING ON, ACHIEVED. The purpose is to assist in evaluating a library's performance and for use as an ongoing planning tool to provide improved services to the public. The goals for resource sharing and multi-type library cooperation are from the excellent Idaho's Network of Libraries: A statewide Plan for Multi-Type Library Cooperation and Resource Sharing, 1996-1999.
