If you are a new library professional with fewer than five years of experience working at a professional or paraprofessional level in a library, you could be part of the 2018 class of ALA Emerging Leaders!
The Emerging Leaders program is a great way to get involved in ALA, meet some amazing people, and get some funding to help you attend Midwinter and Annual conferences. You’ll have day-long sessions at both conferences and in between you’ll work on a project and related poster session with a small team of other Emerging Leaders.
Even better, you can apply to be sponsored by the Idaho Library Association! Applications are not ready yet but the deadline will probably be July 2017.
Just make select ILA on your application, which you can find here: http://www.ala.org/cfapps/emergingleaders/index.cfm
You can find more information about the program here: http://www.ala.org/educationcareers/leadership/emergingleaders/
