Hello All,

SB1323 is a bill that has been introduced that addresses clarification of the process of library trustee recall elections.

On behalf of the Idaho Library Association, we are sending a letter to Senator Keough and the Senate State Affairs committee stating that we have no objection to the clarification that Senate Bill 1323 will bring.

HB 445

Hello all! 

We've received some questions about HB 445, regarding the Persi retirement system.  This bill sponsored by Rep Stevenson (Rupert) would redefine an "employee" for PERSI purposes as one who works 1387 hours/year. Currently an employee is someone who works 20 hours/week (=1040 hours/year.) See the link to the bill below.

Idaho Library Association Legislative Day re-cap

Hello all!

Hope this finds you well.  We wanted to give you an update how the Idaho Library Association Legislative Day went. We met with legislative leadership, the Education committee chairmen, the Joint Financial Appropriations chairmen, the Taxation and Revenue Chairmen, and every legislator was delivered a packet containing information about the Idaho Library Association libraries in Idaho, a copy of The Memory Wall by Tony Doerr, and information about issues affecting libraries.
